Whole30: Day 26

From October 25 through November 26, I will be challenging myself with the Whole30 in order to change my lifestyle and live a healthier life. Throughout those 30 days, I will be posting my daily progress, food, activities, mood, and sleep. This is more for my own personal accountability, but I would be more than happy for you to follow me on my journey or even try it yourself.

Sleep: About 8.5 to 9 hours of sleep last night. I was so caught up in looking for Thanksgiving recipes I kind of lost track of time. Luckily, I didn’t have to be up early this morning. Phew!

Activity: CrossFit Inland Valley WOD. Holy hell did today’s WOD kick my ass! I did establish a new one rep max for deadlifts today though. I jumped up 40 pounds, from 105 to 145 pounds. Not nearly as high as a lot of other people at the gym, but I’m happy with it.

Mood: I felt kind of lazy today. I was tired this morning when I woke up. Must not have slept as deeply as I have been. Went to the gym a couple hours later than I usually do too. And that workout didn’t set well with me at all. I thought I was going to throw up a couple different times. I wanted to quit. But I pushed through. My stomach was killing me (I am assuming from the jalapenos that were in my breakfast) until I ate “Lunner” (my late lunch/early dinner) at work. Didn’t help that I was stressed from being rushed after my workout to hurry and get to work on time.

Food:

Breakfast: Two leftover bacon-wrapped egg muffins with onions, mushrooms, and jalapenos baked inside.

Snack: None

Lunch: Grilled fresh-caught mahi mahi with broccoli. More of an early dinner/late lunch aka Lunner.

Snack: None

Dinner: None really. I got too busy at work to order anything and by the time I got home, it was too late to eat, so I had the leftover whipped coconut milk with dry-roasted almonds, coconut flakes, and strawberries as a little dessert.

So I said I was going to play catch up on my Whole30 Daily today. Well, that didn’t quite happen the way I had hoped. I finished two emails and then got sidetracked with following links, which led to even more, which led to “Oh yeah! I remembered something I wanted to add to my Christmas wish list!” I guess I know what I’ll being doing before work tomorrow.

I almost forgot! I had my first ever foodie dream last night. I remember it so fondly. I dreamed that while waiting in line at the grocery store, I saw those Turltles chocolate candies and just went to town. I mean, I had dozens! And there were different fillings too. It was just caramel. There was marshmallow cream and butterscotch. Yum! I think those See’s candies are haunting me, just in the form of a candy I actually really like.

I am beginning to drool and swoon for chocolate again. It probably doesn’t help that it’s “that time” of the month. I better lay my pretty little head down before I run downstairs into the pantry looking for something to ease my sweet tooth (um, like maybe the two pound Rice Krispies treat my dad bought for my mom today).
