Whole30: Days 15 and 16

From October 25 through November 26, I will be challenging myself with the Whole30 in order to change my lifestyle and live a healthier life. Throughout those 30 days, I will be posting my daily progress, food, activities, mood, and sleep. This is more for my own personal accountability, but I would be more than happy for you to follow me on my journey or even try it yourself.

Day 15: November 8, 2012

Sleep: 8 hours

Activity: CrossFit Inland Valley WOD

Mood: Felt a little irritable and grumpy today. I was a little better at work and a little more optimistic about my day when I got off.


Breakfast: Fruit protein shake using primal protein

Snack: None

Lunch: Late lunch today. Short rib over a bed of butternut squash from the Public House in Old Town Temecula.

Snack: None

Dinner: Leftover short ribs from lunch

Day 16: November 9, 2012

Sleep: About 8 hours of sleep. Woke up at 6:30 this morning, but fell back asleep until my alarm went off to get my butt up for the gym.

Activity: WOD at CrossFit Inland Valley. Our gym was a little late, but we did “Grace” today for Barbells for Boobs.

Mood: Felt really good this morning, but I started to feel tired around 2 p.m. and laid down to take a nap. Didn’t fall asleep, but I thought I’d be over this slump.


Breakfast: Two scrambled eggs

Snack: Handful of organic raisins

Lunch: Leftover herb crusted salmon on lettuce with diced apples.

Snack: Celery with almond butter

Dinner: Tuna and avocado salad with pickled jalapenos, ground coriander, red chili powder, and ground garlic powder.

I am going to be away for another couple of days. Going camping and hunting for pheasant and dove this weekend. Hopefully I’ll be able to bring back some meat to cook up next week.
