Whole30: Day six

From October 25 through November 26, I will be challenging myself with the Whole30 in order to change my lifestyle and live a healthier life. Throughout those 30 days, I will be posting my daily progress, food, activities, mood, and sleep. This is more for my own personal accountability, but I would be more than happy for you to follow me on my journey or even try it yourself.

Sleep: About 7 hours of sleep. I kept waking up throughout the night tossing and turning.

Activity: TheCrossFit Inland Valley WOD kicked my butt today. Stupid manmakers!

Mood: I am feeling tired and lazy today, just like the kitten cuddling up next to me.


Breakfast: A quarter of a roasted pumpkin with cinnamon and honey almond butter.

Snack: None

Lunch: Margarita grilled chicken, sweet potato fries, and broccoli from Chili’s

Snack: Fish ceviche

Dinner: Buffalo burger patty with lettuce, tomato, onion, jalapeño, and Paleo mayo and ketchup for dipping

As always, the Whole30 Daily was on cue with today’s information and advice, all about sleep. Sooner or later, I will finally reach that stage when I feel completely energized throughout the day. That day has not yet come for me, but it might be because I haven’t been watching my sugar intake as well as I should be. I am still using honey almond butter on my celery (well, not today, but every other time), am eating fruit to help with the cravings, and am eating too many sweet potatoes. I need to focus on eating more protein and fats so my body will start using the fats to burn energy rather than the sugar. Only then will the magic happen.
