In order to celebrate a good friend’s goodbye to college, I have decided to host a little girl’s night at home. Being the good hostess that I am, I wanted to provide some food and drinks. Being back on to my on-again, off-again paleo diet plan/lifestyle, I made some healthy chicken wings. We all know how messy chicken wings can get, so I decided to wear my one and only apron that I actually made as a school project in my fiber surface design class.
This apron, however, is one of those half aprons that only covers the bottom half of me. So, taking a page from Carrie Bradshaw (Sex and the City, season 6, episode 4), I decided to wear it around my top half. It worked out pretty well if I do say so myself. It was pretty cute to boot, in a silly way. On top of that, the wings turned out pretty well. I’ll definitely be making them again.
After tirelessly slaving away in a hot kitchen, and to reward myself on getting through two job interviews today, I needed some retail therapy. I went online to UrbanOG.com and got me a new pair of shoes and some mint colored jeans (finally!). The shoes are a bit on the crazy and wackier side, but for $13, how could I resist? Besides, if I don’t like them, I’ll just send them back. Definitely one of the many perks to shopping online. I don’t have to leave the comfort of my own home. Not quite what I thought they were? Zoop! Back in the box they go and are shipped off the next day.
What kind of therapy do you need after a long, stressful day? Spa treatments? Massage? Retail?
